Hey fellow music makers and players,
Just so you all know - this today is the deadline to sign up for the Mid-American Music Festival. It's taking place the first week of September and looks to be Omaha's version of a South By Southwest. I highly encourage you to sign up for this. Since it's taking place in downtown Benson, Espana will be showcasing local DJs & various electronic acts. I'll be on the selection committee, so I'll be sure to put in my word for the right acts to be nominated.

As of this email, 275 bands from all over the country have submitted their music for inclusion into the first-ever Mid-American Music Festival. May 30th marks the deadline date for all entries!
As a subscriber to the MAMF newsletter we encourage you to inform your favorite local band that they have until midnight May 30th, 2008 to submit their music and informtion for review.
We will not accept any local or regional submissions after this deadline date.
The MAMF selection process.
Our selection committee will receive a master list of all submissions on Monday, June 2nd, 2008 giving them several days to review the bands on their own time. On June 5th, 2008 beginning at 7:00 PM, we will host an exclusive MAMF listening party for our selection committee members. They will make the final determination of who is extended an invitation to play at the MAMF. All bands that make the cut will be notified by June 20th if they've been accepted to play.

To submit information, please visit the MAMF web site at: www.MidAmericanMusicFestival.com. Click on the Music tab. Scroll down to the Registration link and fill out the required fields. It's free and only takes a few minutes to complete. All genres of music will be considered.
